Head of Finance

Atlas is building infrastructure, and infrastructure takes years. The financial decisions we make now will determine what kind of company we can become. We are looking for someone who has run finance at a serious company and who understands what it takes to fund and steward a technical business with long horizons.

• Own the financial model of the company: forecasting, budgeting, and scenario planning.
• Establish and run financial controls, reporting, and audit-ready record-keeping.
• Lead fundraising efforts where required: preparation, diligence, and investor relationships.
• Manage relationships with banks, auditors, and regulators.
• Work with the leadership team on capital allocation across engineering, domain, and commercial work.
• Support commercial decisions with rigorous financial analysis.

• Senior finance experience, ideally as a head of finance or CFO at a company that has scaled.
• Comfort with the financial realities of an early-stage company building long-horizon products.
• Strong understanding of compliance and reporting requirements in Malawi and for cross-border activity.
• Ability to work with founders and technical leadership on strategic decisions.

These are not required. They are the kind of background that tends to do well in this role.

• Experience raising capital or leading fundraising processes.
• Experience in a company that has worked with institutional or public-sector clients.
• Professional accounting qualification.
