Backend / Platform Engineer
Build the services, storage, and provenance systems that hold the Atlas platform together.
You will work on the core of the platform: the services that ingest events, maintain provenance, and expose intelligence to the rest of the system. This is systems engineering, not CRUD.
- Build and maintain backend services across the Atlas platform.
- Own the reliability, performance, and correctness of the systems you ship.
- Work with the intelligence team to expose model outputs through well-designed services.
- Design for auditability and provenance at every layer.
- Support tenant isolation and least-privilege access across the platform.
- Strong backend engineering background with production systems.
- Comfort with at least one systems language (Go, Rust, Elixir, or similar).
- Understanding of distributed systems fundamentals.
- Ability to work in an environment where requirements evolve.
These are not required. They are the kind of background that tends to do well in this role.
- Experience with event-sourced systems or append-only logs.
- Background in security-sensitive or regulated environments.
- Experience operating systems in low-bandwidth environments.
